We are so excited to be able to share our upcoming Wedding with you at UNICO 2087, an Adults-Only (18+) resort, south of Playa del Carmen, Mexico. Your presence at our wedding means the world to us.
Cheryl & Shea Bailey of Yellow Umbrella Events, a destination wedding travel company, have assisted us with all the booking details. They have worked to secure our wedding room block with the resort and will be helping all of our guests reserve their room for our wedding on Friday, January 27th, 2023.

Trip Deposit & Payment Schedule
- A payment equal to 75% of your room total is all you need to reserve your room.
- Tuesday, September 6th, 2021 is the deadline to get an available room in the room block. Any reservations requested after that date have to be requested with the resort. Room availability and contracted rates are not guaranteed.
- 75% of your room reservation total is due by Wednesday, September 7th, 2021 (The resort reserves the right to cancel the reservation if payment is not made by this date).
- Full payment of your trip is due by Wednesday, November 9th, 2022 (The resort reserves the right to cancel the reservation if payment is not made by this date).
- Additional payments towards your balance can be made at any time (monthly) by contacting Shea before the final payment is due.

If you would like to arrive earlier than Wednesday, January 25th, 2023, or stay past Monday, January 30th, 2023, please let us know when you fill out the room reservation form. If you would like to travel outside of those dates we just need to confirm availability with the resort before finalizing your reservation.

FYI, not purchasing travel insurance could result in the loss of your travel cost and/or require more money to correct the situation. Without travel insurance, there may be no way to recoup any losses, costs, or expenses incurred. The price of Travel Insurance is NOT included in the price of the room selections and is non-refundable once purchased.
Having travel insurance is definitely important and we recommend it for everyone. We personally buy it for our trips. However, the option to purchase travel insurance is solely up to you and you may purchase it through any insurance company you would like.

This website (Travel Insured) offers a policy called the “Worldwide Trip Protector” plan with optional add-ons like CFAR (Cancel For Any Reason), Optional Bed Rest (which can help cover onsite quarantine expenses), and other add-on options. Travel Insured is the insurance company we personally use and suggest to others but you are welcome to purchase travel insurance through any entity that you choose.
If you want the CFAR (Cancel for Any Reason) benefit you will have to add it to the policy and you must purchase the insurance no later than 21 days from the day you make your initial payment. Unfortunately, CFAR is not available for New York State residents.
When you click on the link you will need to answer a few questions about your trip and then you’ll be redirected to a page with the policy information and pricing.
The basic “Worldwide Trip Protector” plan, which does NOT include the CFAR or Optional Bed Rest options, can be purchased at any time, including after 21 days from the time you paid your initial payment but it will not cover the Pre-Existing Condition Exclusion Waiver or the Bankruptcy/Default of an airline, cruise line, tour operator or other travel providers. However, you can still cancel for a covered reason and potentially get up to a 100% refund as long as it’s a covered reason.
Depending on what you select and the reason for canceling, travel insurance may cover between 75% – 100% of your trip cancellation and many other things like unexpected medical expenses, baggage, and flight delays.

Shuttle to the Resort
- Ground transportation to the resort and back to the airport is not included in the prices listed below. However, you can add them on your own by clicking on the button below.
- Any updates to your flight info or any needed changes to the transfers must be updated directly with Project Expedition at 855-782-3006. Yellow Umbrella Events does not have access to make any changes or updates.
- Before booking your transportation you must have your flight information first.
- You do not have to book your transportation through this company (Project Expedition). You are welcome to make arrangements with any transportation company you choose.

Reservation Cancellation Policy
If you cancel your reservation by September 6th, 2022 you are only responsible for the $100 per person cancellation fee.
If you cancel your reservation between September 7th, 2022, and November 8th, 2022, you will be responsible for 60% of your room total plus the $100 per person cancellation fee. If you have travel insurance you can file a claim to get a refund based on their terms.
If you cancel your reservation on or after November 9th, 2022, you are responsible for 100% of your room total plus the $100 per person cancellation fee. If you have travel insurance you can file a claim to get a refund based on their terms.
Additionally, the resort will not allow the following modifications/changes to your reservation on or after November 9th, 2022:
- Downgrading a room category
- Decreasing the number of nights in your reservation
- Removing a guest from your reservation (reducing the occupancy level in your room)
This resort will not allow any changes, including name changes, to your reservation after Monday, January 2nd, 2023.
What can you do with your reservation between November 9th and January 2nd??
- Upgrade your room category, if an upgraded room category is available.
- Add extra nights, if additional nights are available.
- Add an additional guest or make a name change.
The resort will not provide a credit or voucher for future travel if you do not travel on the dates selected for this reservation.
Yellow Umbrella Events is not an agent of the Hotel and has no control over refund policies and other rules mandated by the Hotel.
If you do not purchase travel insurance and choose to cancel your reservation you may still have to pay a partial penalty up to the full amount of your reservation plus the $100 per person cancellation fee.
If you purchased the travel insurance and choose to cancel you will be refunded by the travel insurance company according to the travel insurance guidelines minus the cost of the non-refundable insurance, but you are still responsible for the $100 per person cancellation fee.
Once a reservation is booked there is a $100 per person cancellation fee with no regard to the reason for the cancellation. This cancellation fee also applies to all cancellations that result in a re-booking.
To be considered a part of Anna & Marco’s Wedding Group, you must book through this group room block and not through any other method (even directly with the hotel). Anna & Marco have secured a wedding room block to make this as easy as possible. To participate in all of the wedding-related activities, you must stay at UNICO 2087 as part of the wedding group.
Wedding passes are $162.00 USD per person, per day and must be purchased for guests not staying at the hotel. Wedding passes are guaranteed for purchase only on the ceremony date (January 27th, 2023). When purchasing a wedding pass guests must exit the resort no later than 11:00 pm. No exceptions will be made. For guests purchasing a wedding pass, only a credit card or currency in pesos will be accepted for payment. This also applies to any other purchases.

Can I use a different credit card to make additional payments?
Yes. All you need to do is fill out the form on this page. As soon as we receive the information we’ll make the payment and email you the receipt.
Can my roommate(s) pay for their portion of the room on a separate card or does it have to be all on one card?
Yes, they can pay using a different credit card. However, when you fill out the reservation form it will only allow you to add 1 credit card. If they want to use their own credit card, all you need to do is add a note in the “Additional Information” section at the bottom of the reservation form and tell us who will be using another credit card. You can then submit their credit card info to us by filling out the form on this page.
Can I make additional payments before the final payment date?
Yes, you can make additional payments at any time. Just send us an email telling us how much you want to pay and if we should use the credit card I have on file for you. If you want to use a different credit card you can send it to us by filling out the form on this page.
Can I set up a payment schedule?
Yes. Just email us with how much you want to pay, what credit card to use, and on what dates you want me to make the payments.
I filled out the reservation form but I didn’t get an immediate confirmation.
When you fill out the reservation form it does not automatically make your reservation or charge your credit card. The information is sent to us so we can review it first. If we have any questions we will reach out to you for verification. As long as everything looks good we will make the reservation and email you a receipt showing the payment and another email with information about your reservation. FYI, If you fill out the form after business hours (5:00 pm CST) or over the weekend it may be the next day before you receive a confirmation.
Can I add someone else to my room after I’ve made my reservation?
Yes, you can always add a person to your room after your reservation has been made as long as it doesn’t go above the room occupancy limit. If you’re waiting to make a reservation because you’re not sure if someone will be with you in the room, we suggest you go ahead and secure your reservation now and then add them later.
The other person in my room can’t make it. Can I switch them with someone else?
Yes. Just send us an email with the name of the guest to be removed along with the name (as it appears on their passport) of the new guest, their birthday, and email address. Once we have this information we’ll make the adjustment. If you are just switching guests the $100 cancellation fee is not charged to the person being removed from the reservation.
I can’t make it to the wedding and need to cancel my reservation. What do I do now?
First, send us an email (we have to have it in writing) letting us know you need to cancel your reservation.
If you purchased the travel insurance and choose to cancel you will be refunded the amount according to the travel insurance guidelines, but you are still responsible for the $100 per person cancellation fee.
If you did not purchase the travel insurance, you may still be responsible for additional fees above and beyond the $100 per person cancellation fee which could possibly include the full amount of the room reservation.
I don’t see a way to RSVP on the website. How can I do this?
There is no official way of doing this through our website. Most people contact the wedding couple directly and let them know. However, we do keep a list of people who have already made a room reservation so I can send an update to the wedding couple.
Will everyone in our group have rooms next to each other?
No, not necessarily. This will depend on a few factors like the type of room category each person reserves and how full the resort is at the time of the event.
Can I request a room next to someone else?
When you make your reservation you can send the request to us in the “Additional Information” section at the bottom of the reservation form and we will pass it along to the resort. They will do whatever they can to honor your request but it is not guaranteed.
Do I need to take electrical converters?
No. Mexico has the same electrical outlets as we do in the U.S.

A manicure or pedicure at the salon is an ideal afternoon indulgence, while the barbershop offers its own kind of relaxing luxury between the complimentary beer and bourbon cart, and large, wall-mounted flat screen.

MI CARISA
Mi Carisa is a love letter to the romantic coastlines and flavors of the Mediterranean. UNICO 20°87°’s most elegant fine-dining experience, Mi Carisa focuses on the traditions and practices of coastal Italian cuisine. That culinary heritage is most deeply honored in the form of a beautiful wood-burning oven, imparting a wonderful smoky flavor to everything that passes through it. The warm, intimate setting lets each bite convey a sincere affection for the coastal Italian kitchen.

CUEVA SIETE
Named for the seven origin caves of Mayan mythos, Cueva Siete—or Cave Seven—derives its inspiration from all that is Yucatecan. This regionally-focused concept aims to harness the mysticism and reverence of Mayan culture, serving dishes deeply rooted in Mexican flavors and traditions.
Cueva Siete uses a unique, chef-driven concept, where the chef is rotated every so often. Now it’s Chef Lula Martín Del Campo’s turn. Using her extraordinary culinary skills, she evokes the everyday flavors of Mexican gastronomy through her dishes.

While Mura House draws flavors and techniques from throughout Asia, with a concentration on Japan, its cuisine is guided by three principles: the harmony of flavor, precision through preparation, and quality of ingredients. Incorporating the hotel’s coordinates into its name, 20.87 Restaurant—the hotel’s casual beachside venue—aims to capture the heart of the UNICO 20°87° experience. The dining experience is fitting with a concept that shifts throughout the day: from a bountifully diverse a la carte breakfast menu—think fresh juices, eggs to order, and house-baked Mexican pastries—to a classic grill in the evenings, serving up choice cuts of steak and fish.

INEZ CAFE

This sense of strength and boldness infuses the drinks which present an insightful Mexican take on classic cocktail tradition.
