To be considered a part of the Sea to Summit 2022 Event you must book through this group room block with Yellow Umbrella Events and not through any other method (even directly with the hotel). To participate in all of the event-related activities, you must stay at Live Aqua Cancun as part of this group.
- A payment equal to 60% of the room total is all you need to reserve your room (Payment is non-refundable).
- Tuesday, June 21st, 2022 is the deadline to get an available room in the room block. Any reservations requested after that date have to be requested with the resort. Room availability and contracted rates are not guaranteed.
- Full payment of your trip is due by Tuesday, August 16th, 2022 (The resort reserves the right to cancel the reservation if payment is not made by this date).
- Additional payments towards your balance can be made at any time by contacting Yellow Umbrella Events before the final payment is due.

- There is a 4-night minimum for this event but you have the option to arrive early or stay later based on the resort’s availability. You can select your dates when you fill out the reservation form.

The room categories listed above were selected by your group leaders for your group’s contracted event room block. There are only a certain number of rooms available, due to the resort’s current room inventory, and are on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Adding Additional Nights
If you would like to arrive earlier than Wednesday, November 9th, 2022, or stay past Sunday, November 13th, 2022, please let us know when you fill out the room reservation form. If you would like to travel outside of those dates we just need to confirm availability with the resort before finalizing your reservation.
Shuttling to the Resort
- Ground transportation to the resort and back to the airport is not included in the prices listed below. Yellow Umbrella Events does not coordinate ground transportation to this resort. However, you can add transportation on your own by clicking on the button below.
- We recommend that you check the arrival times of your friends that are attending to try to combine transportation, as the rate of transportation is less if you can combine more people into one trip/shuttle to and from the resort.
- Any updates to your flight info or any needed changes to the transfers must be updated directly with the transportation company. Yellow Umbrella Events does not have access to make any changes or updates.
- Before booking your transportation you must have your flight information first.
- Please schedule your ground transportation directly with the transportation company a MINIMUM of 3-4 weeks before you depart.
- You do not have to book your transportation through this company. You are welcome to make arrangements with any transportation company you choose.
Having travel insurance is crucial in this era and we recommend it for everyone. We personally buy it for all of our trips. However, the option to purchase travel insurance is solely up to you.
**If you have any questions about this travel insurance please give Travel Insured a call at 1-800-243-3174. We (Yellow Umbrella Events) are not a licensed insurance company and can not legally answer any insurance-related questions.**
Not purchasing travel insurance could result in the loss of your travel cost and/or require more money to correct the situation. Without travel insurance there may be no way to recoup any losses, costs, or expenses incurred. The price of Travel Insurance is NOT included in the price of the room selections and is non-refundable once purchased.

This website (Travel Insured) offers a policy called the “Worldwide Trip Protector” plan with optional add-ons like CFAR (Cancel For Any Reason), Optional Bed Rest (which can help cover onsite quarantine expenses), and other add-on options. Travel Insured is the insurance company we personally use and suggest to others but you are welcome to purchase travel insurance through any entity that you choose.
If you want the CFAR (Cancel for Any Reason) benefit you will have to add it to the policy and you must purchase the insurance no later than 21 days from the day you make your initial payment. Unfortunately, CFAR is not available for New York State residents.
When you click on the link you will need to answer a few questions about your trip and then you’ll be redirected to a page with the policy information and pricing.
The basic “Worldwide Trip Protector” plan, which does NOT include the CFAR or Optional Bed Rest options, can be purchased at any time, including after 21 days from the time you paid your initial payment but it will not cover the Pre-Existing Condition Exclusion Waiver or the Bankruptcy/Default of an airline, cruise line, tour operator or other travel providers. However, you can still cancel for a covered reason and potentially get up to a 100% refund as long as it’s a covered reason.
Depending on what you select and the reason for canceling, travel insurance may cover between 75% – 100% of your trip cancellation and many other things like unexpected medical expenses, baggage, and flight delays.
We strongly suggest that you call them and verify what the policy covers if you have any questions. You can reach an insurance agent at 1-800-243-3174.
Your event registration and room reservation payment is 100% non-refundable once you have submitted your reservation. This is why we highly suggest purchasing travel insurance that includes cancellation refunds.
Additionally, the resort will not allow the following modifications/changes to your reservation on or after June 21st, 2022:
- Downgrading a room category
- Decreasing the number of nights in your reservation
- Removing a guest from your reservation (reducing the occupancy level in your room)
What can you do with your reservation between June 21st and August 16th??
- Upgrade your room category, if an upgraded room category is available.
- Add extra nights, if additional nights are available.
- Add an additional guest or make a name change.
This resort will not allow any changes, including name changes, to your reservation after Wednesday, October 12th, 2022.
Yellow Umbrella Events is not an agent of the Hotel and has no control over refund policies and other rules mandated by the Hotel.
If you do not purchase travel insurance and choose to cancel your reservation you are still 100% financially liable for your entire reservation!
If you purchased the travel insurance and choose to cancel you may be refunded by the travel insurance company according to the travel insurance guidelines, minus the cost of the non-refundable insurance, but you are still responsible for the full payment of your entire reservation.
Once a reservation is booked your reservation is fully NONrefundable, with no regard to the reason for the cancellation. This cancellation policy also applies to all cancellations that result in a re-booking.
Can I use a different credit card to make additional payments?
Yes. All you need to do is fill out the form on this page. As soon as we receive the information we’ll make the payment and email you the receipt.
Can my roommate(s) pay for their portion of the room on a separate card or does it have to be all on one card?
Yes, they can pay using a different credit card. However, when you fill out the reservation form it will only allow you to add 1 credit card. If they want to use their own credit card, all you need to do is add a note in the “Additional Information” section at the bottom of the reservation form and tell us who will be using another credit card. You can then submit their credit card info to us by filling out the form on this page.
Can I make additional payments before the final payment date?
Yes, you can make additional payments at any time. Just send us an email telling us how much you want to pay and if we should use the credit card I have on file for you. If you want to use a different credit card you can send it to us by filling out the form on this page.
I filled out the reservation form but I didn’t get an immediate confirmation.
When you fill out the reservation form it does not automatically make your reservation or charge your credit card. The information is sent to us so we can review it first. If we have any questions we will reach out to you for verification. As long as everything looks good we will make the reservation and email you a receipt showing the payment and another email with information about your reservation. FYI, If you fill out the form after business hours (5:00 pm CST) or over the weekend it may be the next day before you receive a confirmation.
Can I add someone else to my room after I’ve made my reservation?
Yes, you can always add a person to your room after your reservation has been made as long as it doesn’t go above the room occupancy limit. If you’re waiting to make a reservation because you’re not sure if someone will be with you in the room, we suggest you go ahead and secure your reservation now and then add them later.
The other person in my room can’t make it. Can I switch them with someone else?
Yes. Just send us an email with the name of the guest to be removed along with the name (as it appears on their passport) of the new guest, their birthday, and email address. Once we have this information we’ll make the adjustment.
I can’t make it to the event and need to cancel my reservation. What do I do now?
First, send us an email (we have to have it in writing) letting us know you need to cancel your reservation.
If you purchased the travel insurance and choose to cancel you will need to contact your travel insurance company and file a claim. You may be refunded, according to the travel insurance guidelines.
If you did not purchase the travel insurance, you may still be responsible for the full amount of the room reservation. You can attempt to find another person to transfer your room to, if you would like, and we can change the names on your reservation to the new guests, as long as this is completed by the resort deadline for room name changes.
Will everyone in our group have rooms next to each other?
No. Your room locaion will depend on a various factors, like the type of room category each person reserves and how full the resort is at the time of the event.
Can I request a room next to someone else?
When you make your reservation you can send the request to us in the “Additional Information” section at the bottom of the reservation form and we will pass it along to the resort. They will do whatever they can to honor your request but it is not guaranteed.
Do I need to take electrical converters?
No. Mexico has the same electrical outlets as we do in the U.S.
