Restaurants At Impression Isla Mujeres
SPEZIA (A Signature Restaurant)
Master Chef Paolo crafts recipes with all the best-known Italian flavors across an elevated and exquisite menu. Chef Paolo curates a seasonal menu that celebrates the country’s vast culinary legacy, creating vibrant dishes that tempt the taste buds, from the juicy burst of vine-ripened tomatoes to the delicate bite of aged Parmesan, and accentuate Italy’s cherished cuisine.
YUE Take: This is my favorite restaurant at Impression Isla Mujeres. I’m a big fan of Pappardelle Bolognese, and this restaurant absolutely nails it! I learned on our last visit that the chef was brought in from Italy, which makes perfect sense as to why the dishes at Spezia taste so authentic.
- Cuisine: Italian
- Hours: Lunch and Dinner from 1 pm – 9 pm; closed on Mondays
- Dress Code: Casual Elegance
- Reservations: Available through the hotel and on OpenTable.

UNIK The Kitchen (A Signature Restaurant)
UNIK The Kitchen (A Signature Restaurant)
Enjoy not just the cuisine, but the beautiful views at their refined rooftop oasis, offering daytime light tapas to à la carte dinner options as the sun sets. Find global flavors in all of the meticulously crafted creations, with their talented chefs’ passion infused into every dish. Enjoy the music curated by their skilled DJs under the stars in the evening, creating the perfect atmosphere for socializing and cherished memories.
YUE Take: We love this casual rooftop space. It’s great for easy tacos or pizzas for lunch and a beautiful dinner with outstanding views in the evening. UNIK is also the location where they host their Sunday brunch experience, where resort guests and locals (who purchase a day pass) can mix and mingle on the rooftop while having a great brunch. This is what we would consider the most “people watching area” of the resort since the rooftop pool and lounge areas are a favorite for guests who must get their pictures for the gram.
- Cuisine: Global Fusion
- Hours: Open 11 am-10 pm with Dinner 6 pm-10 pm
- Dress Code: Casual for Lunch, Casual Elegance for Dinner
- Reservations: Available through the hotel and on OpenTable.

Cacao
Transport yourself to a charming French-style café, where you can enjoy delicious coffees and teas along with the comfort of warm, homemade sweet and savory baked goods. Indulge in these classic Parisian favorites and enjoy a moment of European charm.
YUE Take: If you love a great coffee shop, this is the place! We often find that resort coffee shops are not exactly cozy or a place you want to hang out, but Cacao is the perfect spot to not only grab your coffee, but also to hang out and socialize with friends, or even just read a book and relax while sipping a nice, hot tea. It’s located right next to the front lobby and the island entrance, so it’s also extremely convenient to grab a drink and a snack and head out for the day (perfectly caffeinated!).
- Cuisine: Parisian Cafe with hot & cold coffee and tea drinks + light sweet & savory desserts, sandwiches, and snacks
- Hours: 24 hours
- Dress Code: Casual
- Reservations: Not required
- Menu varies daily

La Vista
At La Vista, savor Mexican and global cuisines in a captivating ambiance where every bite harmonizes with the stunning panoramic views of Isla Mujeres and the Cancun Hotel Zone.
YUE Take: This is the restaurant we almost always go to for breakfast. They have fantastic à la carte options with a gorgeous view to start the day in paradise.
- Cuisine: International
- Hours: Breakfast and Lunch
- Dress Code: Casual
- Reservations: Not required

Mercado
Enjoy dining poolside at Mercado, where delicious wood fire-grilled pizzas and expertly crafted tacos are meant to be enjoyed al fresco. It’s the perfect combination of a relaxing location and delectable cuisine.
YUE Take: You can always pop by this outdoor food venue and order to take away or sit at their small bar area, but we typically end up ordering from here via the pool menu, and this is where they prepare the food for pool guests. Seriously, though, do not sleep on this restaurant, because they make the most delicious tacos and pizzas! We are surprised by the extensive and delicious pool menu.
- Cuisine: Poolside Pizza Grill and Taco Bar
- Hours: Lunch
- Dress Code: Casual
- Reservations: Not required

Sake
Explore an array of culinary treasures at their Pan-Asian restaurant, featuring an outstanding fusion of flavors. Join them for an exciting menu and experience, highlighted by two interactive teppanyaki tables where skilled chefs create savory dishes right before your eyes.
YUE Take: This restaurant is a solid option if you’re in the mood for Asian food. There are multiple items on the menu that we absolutely loved, including the sushi options and a lot of appetizers, but we were not as impressed with some of our “at-home” favorites, like the Pad Thai. Otherwise, this is an excellent Asian restaurant for an all-inclusive that is as good, if not better, than most.
- Cuisine: Pan-Asian
- Hours: Dinner
- Dress Code: Casual Elegance
- Reservations: Not required, but recommended
- Menu varies

Wildfire Grill
An unmatched gastronomic delight awaits at the resort’s steak and seafood gem, where the art of grilling takes center stage. Specializing in grilled favorites, their steakhouse features the finest cuts of beef and a variety of tasty delicacies from the sea. For a more intimate gathering, their chef’s table and wine cellar are ready to host unforgettable private events.
YUE Take: Our crew loves the empanadas and a lot of the appetizers at Wildfire Grill. We’re mainly Texans, so we have access to some of the most amazing cuts of meat that are beautifully prepared at home, so we are a bit biased here. We have had a hit-or-miss experience with steak at this restaurant – some visits have been outstanding, while others have been good but not amazing. We feel that most steak lovers will truly enjoy their dinner here, unless you are used to finer, more expensive cuts at home, if you live in an area known for how they prepare steak. For better context, every person we talked to at the resort who had eaten at Wildfire Grill raved about it – except when we talked to a Texan. 🙂
- Cuisine: Steakhouse and Seafood

Bars at Impression Isla Mujeres
Isola
Discover Isola, their refined lobby bar where sophistication meets cocktails. It’s the perfect backdrop for starting the evening with an aperitif or ending with a nightcap. This intimate space embodies the island’s unmistakable charm and offers top-shelf libations.
- Cuisine: Elegant Lobby Cocktail Bar
- Hours: 11 am-11 pm
- Dress Code: Casual
YUE Take: This is seriously one of the most beautiful bars and is the perfect place to wind down at the end of an evening or to hang out at and grab a drink with friends before dinner.

Sharks
The resort’s swim-up bar, Sharks, is where tropical cocktails pay tribute to their commitment to conservation and the Saving Our Sharks Foundation. Enjoy both their commitment to ocean sustainability and savoring the sun with every delicious sip.
- Cuisine: Inspired Swim-Up Pool Bar (the pool on the main lobby level)
- Hours: 11 am-7 pm
- Dress Code: Casual
YUE Take: If you’re hanging out at the pool all day, the direct sun can be so intense, but the seated area around the swim-up bar is well-shaded, making it the perfect spot to sit and meet new friends or hang out with the ones you brought.

The Temple
Experience the magic of sunset at their captivating terrace bar. Watch the sun dip below the horizon and take the perfect photo against a stunning backdrop while enjoying live music and an unforgettable ambiance. Enjoy the golden hour and into the night at the ideal setting for your special event.
- Stylish Terrace Bar
- Hours: Open for Special Events
- Dress Code: Casual
YUE Take: There are a ton of gorgeous places to take photos at this resort, but we love The Temple the best! The sunsets are absolutely incredible, and you can capture some of the most amazing photos that overlook the ocean here. The bar at this location isn’t always open, but they often host special events and fun activities, such as yoga and sound healing, in this space. For private events, such as corporate dinners and wedding receptions, held at The Temple, the built-in bar is perfect.

The Top
The Top, a one-of-a-kind sports bar located on the resort’s rooftop, is surrounded by spacious screens to ensure you don’t miss any of the thrilling games and matches. Cheer on your favorite teams while sipping on high-end signature drinks crafted to perfection, for an unmatched blend of sports excitement and elevated spirits and cocktails.
- Sports Bar in the Sky
- Hours: 11 am – 11 pm
- Dress Code: Casual during the day, Casual Elegance for nighttime
YUE Take: The Top is an entertaining and somewhat surprising venue. Because everything else at the resort has a Tulum meets Mykonos styled, chic vibe, it’s almost surprising to have these beautiful, vibrant screens inside, but they really do add a cool element. The swing seats at the bar are also really fun and make for great photos.

Yacht Welcome Lounge
At the water’s edge, the Yacht Welcome Lounge welcomes you as you arrive by boat to Impression Isla Mujeres. A blend of sophistication and relaxation, this bar offers you refreshments accompanied by the gentle sounds of the sea, and the promise of an extraordinary stay awaits you upon your arrival.
- Reception for Guests Arriving by Sea
- Hours: 7 am – 11 pm
- Dress Code: Casual
YUE Take: Most guests won’t likely spend much any time at this little bar, other than grabbing their arrival or departure drink. However, it’s usually a pretty quiet and shaded space, so if you are looking for a bar that is less likely to have many people at it, it’s a great little hangout. This is also the bar that serves drinks to guests lounging at the dock and cabana area overlooking the ocean.

Decoding the Restaurant Dress Codes:
- Casual: Bermudas (long shorts or Capri pants), sneakers/tennis shoes, and sandals. Ladies must wear a bathing suit wrap or a cover-up—no sleeveless shirts for men.
- Casual Elegance: Sneakers/tennis shoes or dress sandals, dress shirts with short sleeves or collared shirts. No sleeveless shirts or flip-flops. Long pants are required for men. A note on this – We’ve visited the resort several times and have seen multiple occasions where men were wearing shorts at the Casual Elegance restaurants, so it doesn’t seem like this dress code is heavily enforced (except for the no-sleeveless-shirt rule). However, it’s always a good idea to bring at least one pair of pants and one closed-toe shoe option, just in case they make a change and begin enforcing this dress code more strictly. You may never need to wear pants or closed-toed shoes, but it’s better to have them and not need them than the other way around.
- Beach Casual: Swim trunks, bathing suits, and flip-flops are accepted.
- Formal: Men: long pants and collared shirts; dress shoes. Women: blouses, skirts, slacks, or dresses; dress shoes.
- Daytime Casual: Bathing suit cover-ups or shorts and tops, and sandals are required.
- Resort Casual: Bermudas (long shorts or Capri pants), sneakers/tennis shoes, and sandals. Ladies must wear a bathing suit wrap or a cover-up; no sleeveless shirts are allowed for men.
- Pool Casual: Bathing suits allowed. Cover-ups and sandals (or flip-flops) are preferred.
Sip, Savor & See
Looking for even more dining experiences? They’ve got you covered. Experience endless dining options available at their nearby Dreams, Secrets, and Impression resorts as part of the Endless Privileges® program. Enjoy a complimentary dinner, drinks, and live entertainment at one of their nearby participating resorts from 6 p.m. to 1 a.m. Simply visit your concierge by 3 p.m. to arrange the details. One important note on this program – Hyatt’s Sip, Savor, & See program works best when there are other Dreams/Secrets/Impressions resorts close by. With this property, you would need to go into town, take the ferry across to Cancun, then take a taxi to one of the sister properties. Once you have finished dinner, you would need to do the same thing, but in reverse. Although you may see this program advertised, it’s simply not logical to utilize it from this particular resort, so keep this in mind if you like the idea of the program and think you may want to try it out.
