How it Works

Our Signature Planning Process

Step 1: Connect

After you fill out our inquiry form, we’ll connect with you on a complimentary, in-depth consultation call. Together, we’ll define your vision and uncover your needs; these details will help us match you with the perfect resort.

Step 2: Choose

Within a few days (we work quickly!) we’ll send over our top 2-3 resort choices, hand-picked to align with your preferences, guest needs, and price point. Take your pick then let us know your desired dates and wedding package and we’ll get to work securing it all for you with the resort.

Step 3: Manage

With your date and wedding package set, it’s time to focus on the guest experience. Our team will manage it all, from setting up your room block to helping your guests stay on track of deposit deadlines with timely reminders. Booking is a breeze thanks to your custom room booking link—just send your guests straight here!

Step 4: Jet Off!

Leading up to your destination wedding, you’ll be introduced to your on-site wedding coordinator (or we can refer you to a stellar local wedding planner if you want extra support). On the travel side, we’ll make sure all arrangements for you and your guests are squared away, including transfers. If you need any assistance during your travels, just reach out to us!

Cheryl & Shea from Yellow Umbrella Events are THE best option for destination wedding planning, especially if you’re looking to get married at Hotel Xcaret! Nobody knows Hotel Xcaret better than they do. They were so efficient and professional with all of our guests, including the impossible ones.

Mercedes Derroches

Calm, thoughtful, creative, flexible–all words that describe Cheryl Bailey of Yellow Umbrella Events. My daughter had a dream, a vision and Cheryl made it a reality. She transformed Brazos Hall into a wonderland, keeping to our budget and orchestrating all the parts to make the entire planning process stress-free. Highly recommend, Outstanding, Wonderful to work with.

Christine Draths

Choosing to book with Cheryl and Yellow Umbrella was one of my best decisions! Cheryl and her team are so helpful with things that didn't even have to do with making a group block. Their knowledge definitely comforted me with the whirlwind of planning a wedding, and I can't thank you guys enough for going above and beyond for us and all of our guests.

Erika Bauer Thornton

First of all, I’d like to thank Cheryl & Shea Bailey for helping me get everything started! It literally wouldn’t have been possible without them! Before them it was impossible to get in contact with the wedding department. They are a great help with setting up your room block and help you deal with guests and their reservations. It was a little hectic with a small group, I can only imagine a large group!I highly highly recommend them!
