Garza Blanca offers 3 ceremony only packages, all designed for up to 50 guests, and then you add your cocktail party and reception option from there. Here’s a breakdown of what’s included with each package:
GEMSTONE – $1,766 USD
Up to 50 guests
*Extra guests are $8 USD + 16% tax per person
If you’re sticking with the basics and hoping to stretch your budget, you can start with the Gemstone package, which will give you a beautiful, solid foundation to work from. You’ll get a bamboo arbor draped in white fabric, ceremony chairs, a romantic turndown on your wedding night, a special amenity, and 15% off spa services for the two of you. This is most often selected for elopements or very small groups.

SAPPHIRE – $3,036 USD

The Sapphire package builds on everything in Gemstone and adds the details that make your ceremony feel more complete, like ceremony flowers for both of you, with the addition of the A/V set up for the ceremony.

OPALO – $4,307 USD
Up to 50 guests

For the couple who wants the most complete ceremony package with extras, Opalo is the logical choice. Breakfast in bed the morning after your wedding, a romantic spa experience for the two of you (or Fairy Beauty hair & makeup for the bride),, and a live soloist musician during the ceremony. It’s a fuller overall experience.

Reception packages are priced per person. Here’s the most important thing to know upfront – if you’re booking a room block of at least 20 rooms for 3 nights, you unlock special pricing, and the difference can be significant. This is exactly the kind of thing we help our couples navigate so you’re not leaving money on the table.
GOLD Reception Package
Regular: $165 per person + 16% tax + 15% service
With Room Block: $39 per person (tax & service included)
A clear, well executed reception. Three hours of open bar, a three-course dinner with one menu selection per course, and classic round table setup with white linens. If your crowd is there for the love and the dancing, and doesn’t need an elaborate dinner set up, the Gold reception package delivers exactly what you need.

PLATINUM Reception Package
Regular: $204 per person + 16% tax + 15% service
With Room Block: $109 per person (tax & service included)

The Platinum reception package adds a cocktail hour before the reception – mojitos, margaritas, beers, + a selection of appetizers. This gives you some needed space between the ceremony and dinner. Time you’ll want for photos and for guests to mingle and grab a drink before dinner. You also have the option to swap one dinner course for a wedding cake, which is a nice inclusion. Book this package on a Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday and you’ll get 15% off the already discounted price PLUS a complimentary Gemstone ceremony package for up to 50 guests included automatically.

The Diamond reception package is the fullest event option Garza Blanca Cancun offers. You’ll get everything in the Platinum reception package, plus a wedding cake, late night snacks, and the same midweek discount and complimentary ceremony package.

Where You'll Say "I Do" - The Venues
This is one of the biggest things that makes Garza Blanca Cancun special. The venue options here are stunning across the board. Here’s the honest breakdown of each one so you can picture your day.
Coco Beach
Until 11 PM
Ceremony: up to 300 | Cocktail: up to 300 | Reception: up to 240
It’s the main beach. White sand, turquoise water, your perfect Cancun beach ceremony spot. This is what most people picture when they dream of a Cancún wedding, and Garza Blanca’s beachfront delivers it beautifully. If having your wedding on the beach with an ocean view is non-negotiable for you, this is your venue. Just know that beach conditions can vary – more on that in the Real Talk section below.
Tierra Luna
Until 1 AM
Ceremony: up to 200 | Cocktail: up to 350 | Reception: up to 240
This is our personal favorite. Tierra Luna is the perfect covered, but still open air, venue. Very few resorts have a covered outdoor venue, and when they do it’s nowhere as beautiful as Tierra Luna. The sunlight gently filters through, tropical greenery surrounds you, and the whole thing has this magical, ethereal atmosphere that photos cannot fully capture. And it’s available for receptions until 1 AM, which is another “hard to find” for venues at resorts in the Cancun area. If you’re looking for a venue that feels truly different from every other resort wedding you’ve been to, this is your wedding venue.
Elite Terrace
Until 7 PM
Ceremony: up to 120 | Cocktail: up to 120
This is a refined outdoor terrace, perfect for smaller, more intimate celebrations. The earlier end time makes this one best suited for a ceremony and cocktail hour combo, or a daytime event. If your group is 120 or under and you love an elegant open air setting, it’s a beautiful option.
Food Truck Area
Until 11PM (Setup can not begin until 6 PM)
Late Cocktail: up to 100 | Reception: up to 66
Don’t be put off by a “food truck” as a venue. This zone is the perfect casual outdoor space for a relaxed cocktail reception or a fun after party vibe. Furniture is included as is. Best for smaller groups who want something laid back and fun rather than formal.
Sky Ballroom (10th Floor)
Until 1 AM
Full Ballroom, Ceremony: up to 300 | Cocktail: up to 350 | Reception: up to 240
The Sky Ballroom is not your typical boring hotel ballroom. This venue is on the 10th floor with floor to ceiling windows, crystal chandeliers, and views of the Caribbean that make the whole room glow. It’s available for events up until 1 AM and can be divided into three sections if you need a more intimate footprint.
- Ballroom A: Ceremony up to 80 · Cocktail up to 70 · Reception up to 60
- Ballroom B: Ceremony up to 80 · Cocktail up to 70 · Reception up to 60
- Ballroom C: Ceremony up to 60 · Cocktail up to 50 · Reception up to 40
Important: The Sky Ballroom comes with its own room block requirement. You must have at least 50 rooms for 3 nights paid for Friday and Saturday weddings, and 30 rooms for 3 nights paid for Sunday through Thursday weddings. If this ballroom is your dream venue, we’ll help you structure your room block around making that happen.
The Room Block - Here's What You Need to Know
Garza Blanca Cancun has very specific room block requirements in order to have your wedding here. They are real, and they absolutely enforce these minimums. So, be aware that if you do not meet the minimums, you’ll be personally responsible for paying the difference. This is actually one of the most important parts of our job – making sure your room block is set up correctly from the start so you’re protected and your guests are taken care of.
Here’s the room requirements:
January – April (Peak Season)
- Sunday through Thursday: minimum 30 rooms, 3 nights
- Friday & Saturday: minimum 50 rooms, 3 nights
May – December
- And day of the week: minimum 30 rooms, 3 nights
Sky Ballroom (any time of year)
- And day of the week: minimum 50 rooms, 3 nights
- At least 80% of your total wedding guests MUST stay at the resort
Deposits You’ll Need to Know About
Room Block Deposit: $4,000+ (100% non-refundable)
For a block of 1 – 40 rooms, you’ll put down $4,000 USD at the time you sign the contract. If your block is larger than 40 rooms, add $100 USD per room above 40. This deposit is non-refundable – full stop. Additionally, the resort will not credit any of the deposit towards rooms, stays, or anything else if you cancel. We want you to go in with eyes open on this.
Wedding Date & Venue Deposit: $1,000 (100% non-refundable)
This is what locks in your date and your venues. It’s separate from the room block deposit, and it’s also non-refundable. Once this is in, you’re wedding date is locked in.
Cancellation Policy
Your room block can be cancelled up to 3 months before arrival (though you will not receive a refund of the deposit or payments made up to that point). After that cutoff, you’re looking at the full stay being non refundable. We’ll walk you through all of this in detail before anything is signed.

One of the things that makes Garza Blanca great for a lot of couples is their preferred vendor list. You get lots of vendor options here, unlike many resorts where your choices are limited. When you book services through the resort’s preferred vendors, there are no outside vendor fees.

One non-negotiable: external fireworks vendors are not permitted on the property. If fireworks are part of your vision, it has to be Pyrocaribe or Pyrotech – no exceptions.

Things We Always Tell Our Couples Before They Book Garza Blanca
Communication takes patience. This is the most consistent piece of feedback we hear, and we want you prepared for it. Response times from the resort can be slow. But this is not just a Garza Blanca thing. It’s just the way things are with Mexican resorts. They operate on a very different planning timeline than what we are used to in the US. If you’re going to have a Mexico destination wedding, you will encounter this.
There will be a timeshare pitch. Guests consistently complain about the persistent timeshare sales push on property. Just say no confidently. It should have zero impact on your service or your experience once you’re past it. Also, we do make a request with the wedding team that our groups not be bothered with this. And it often (but not always) helps lessen the issue.
The beach can have seaweed. Garza Blanca’s beach, as with most of the beaches in the area, can experience sargassum, especially in warmer months. The resort team works hard to manage it when it occurs, and the pools – especially that rooftop pool that everyone loves – are a great alternative to a dip in the ocean. It’s not always a dealbreaker, but it’s worth knowing so you’re not surprised.
The lower pool areas are family-friendly. If your group wants a quieter atmosphere during downtime, plan your gatherings around the adults only rooftop. The ground level pools see a lot of kids, which is great for families but not always the vibe for a wedding group trying to decompress.
Room type really matters for groups. Smaller rooms have open bathroom layouts with limited privacy, which can be fine for couples, but definitely something to flag if non couple guests are sharing a room. The 2 and 3 bedroom suites are spectacular and worth the upgrade for family members or friend groups rooming together.
Wedding costs can add up quickly. This resort is genuinely beautiful and like a lot of weddings, can get genuinely expensive if you’re not careful with add ons. Everything beyond the base packages is à la carte. Go in with a clear total budget, not just a ceremony budget. We’ll help you build the full picture before you commit to anything.
