With so many things to consider for your wedding you may not have put much thought into entertainment, other than maybe having a DJ (which is included in all Hotel Xcaret wedding packages – YAY!). But there are so many cool things that you can add to your big day to entertain and excite your guests.
Photobooth
You can’t go wrong with what is now a fairly standard wedding staple – the photo booth. And yes, you can secure the basics – backdrop, props, and a photographer – but nowadays there are so many cool options you can add. Fancy custom backdrops, balloon décor, neon signs, and all the rage. And you don’t have to settle for just a photo anymore either. New photo booth options range from live action 360 video booths to slow motion videos to phone booth messages that can double as your guest book.

Water Drummers
We think one of the most fun and interactive elements you can add to your outdoor reception. And a huge bonus is that the cost is very reasonable for live entertainment that your guests can be a part of. (We wouldn’t recommend this for a ballroom since water will get everywhere.) Live Dancing Catrina Bride & Groom
Catrina is a well known figure in Mexico. Don’t know what this is? Think tall slender couple, both with painted skeleton faces and in black & white traditional mariachi style attire. Great for photos!
Beer Burros (Beer Donkeys)
Yes, you can have the precious donkeys that are all dressed up for your wedding, passing out bottles of cold beer to guests. This is a memory maker, for sure, and is perfect for photos.

Mariachis
A live mariachi band goes hand in hand with a Mexico wedding. And Hotel Xcaret has one of our favorites – their all-women mariachi band! We absolutely love them and they are an absolute treasure. You can reserve this band directly with your assigned resort wedding coordinator. But take note – the all-women mariachi band books quickly so you’ll want to request them as soon as your coordinator is assigned.
