We are so excited to share our upcoming Wedding with you at Dreams Bahia Mita in gorgeous Nayarit, Mexico. Your presence at our wedding means the world to us!

Yellow Umbrella Events, a destination wedding travel company, has been amazing in helping us with all the resort details. We have set up a wedding room block with the resort, specific to our group, and the team at Yellow Umbrella Events will be assisting all our guests in reserving your rooms for our wedding on Friday, November 6, 2026.

Additional Nights Stay

If you would like to arrive earlier than Wednesday, November 4, 2026, or stay past Sunday, November 8, 2026, please let us know when you fill out the room reservation form. If you would like to travel outside of those dates we just need to confirm availability.

VERY IMPORTANT: Any requests for early arrival and extended departures outside of the contracted room block dates listed above will be subject to availability and rate approval by the resort and may be non-refundable. If your reservation is impacted by date availability and a difference in contracted rates, we will communicate this information to the guest before any confirmation or charges are made for extra nights outside the room block.

Adding Nights/Guests Upon Arrival at the Resort

As soon as the first person from the group has arrived at the resort we are not allowed to add extra nights or guests to your reservation. You will have to go to the front desk to add them. Also, the resort will not honor the contracted room rates and you will have to pay whatever the current room rate is at that time.

Wedding Information

As a reminder, the wedding ceremony will be held on Friday, November 6, 2026.

Guests can RSVP through the couple’s personal wedding website or directly with the couple. We (Yellow Umbrella Events) do not track RSVPs, we only manage the room reservations for the couple.

*At this time, the couple does not have a personal wedding website.

To be considered a part of Alex & Taylor’s Wedding Group, you must book through this group room block and not through any other method (even directly with the hotel). To participate in all of the wedding-related activities, you must stay at Dreams or Secrets Bahia Mita as part of the wedding group.

If you stay at a different hotel/resort other than Dreams or Secrets Bahia Mita you will be considered a Non-Guest and will be charged an additional fee per person, per day for a Wedding Pass to attend the wedding ceremony and related events. The Wedding Pass allows non-guests access to the hotel 1 hour before the event starts until 1 hour after the event ends. 

Wedding Pass fees for this event are as follows:

  • $125.00 USD per adult
  • $37.00 USD per child ages 3 – 12
  • $75.00 additional per person to stay later than the time allowed


Only credit card or currency in pesos will be accepted for payment. Wedding Passes are guaranteed for purchase only on the ceremony date. External guests must leave ID at Concierge desk for registration.

Cancellation Policy

If you cancel your reservation (or remove a guest(s) from the reservation) by May 19, 2026, the responsibility is a $100 per person cancellation fee. However, you can reduce the number of nights in your reservation up to this date without a cancellation fee.

If you cancel your reservation (or remove a guest(s) from the reservation) between May 20, 2026, and August 18, 2026, the responsibility will be 30% of the room total in the case of full reservation cancellation or 30% of the removed guest total. There is also a $100 per person cancellation fee. Also, if you reduce the number of nights in your reservation you will be responsible for 30% of the nights reduced. If you have travel insurance you can file a claim to get a refund based on their terms.

If you cancel your reservation (or remove a guest(s) from the reservation) or reduce the number of nights in your reservation on or after August 19, 2026, the responsibility will be 100% of the room total in the case of full reservation cancellation or 100% of the removed guest total. If you have travel insurance you can file a claim to get a refund based on their terms.

Additionally, the resort will not allow the following modifications/changes to your reservation on or after August 18, 2026:

  • Downgrading a room category
  • Decreasing the number of nights in your reservation
  • Removing a guest from your reservation (reducing the occupancy level in your room)


This resort will not allow any changes, including name changes, to your reservation after October 7, 2026. 

What can you do with your reservation between August 18, and October 7, 2026? 

  • Upgrade your room category, if an upgraded room category is available.
  • Add extra nights, if additional nights are available.
  • Add an additional guest or make a name change.

The resort will not provide a credit or voucher for future travel if you arrive after your scheduled arrival date, if you check out early, or do not travel on the dates selected for this reservation for any reason.

Yellow Umbrella Events is not an agent of the Hotel and has no control over refund policies and other rules mandated by the Hotel.

Insurance policy

If you do not purchase travel insurance and have to cancel your reservation, you may still have to pay for part or the full amount of your reservation.

If you purchased travel insurance and have to cancel, you will be refunded by the travel insurance company according to the travel insurance guidelines, but you are still responsible for the $100 per person cancellation fee.

Once a reservation is booked there is a $100 per person cancellation fee with no regard to the reason for the cancellation. This cancellation fee cannot be reapplied to a later re-booking.

Travel Insurance

** If you have any questions about travel insurance please give Travel Insured a call at 800-243-3174. We (Yellow Umbrella Events) are not a licensed insurance company and can not legally answer any insurance-related questions. **

Not purchasing travel insurance could result in the loss of your travel cost and/or require more money to correct the situation. Without insurance, there may be no way to recoup any losses, costs, or expenses incurred and the price of travel insurance IS NOT included in the price of the room selections and is non-refundable once purchased.

Having travel insurance is definitely important and we recommend it for everyone. We personally buy it for our trips. However, the option to purchase travel insurance is solely up to you and you may purchase it through any insurance company you would like.

This website (Travel Insured) offers a very comprehensive policy called the “Worldwide Trip Protector” plan with optional add-ons like CFAR (Cancel For Any Reason), Optional Bed Rest which helps cover onsite quarantine expenses, and other add-on options. Travel Insured is the insurance company we personally use and suggest to others but you are welcome to purchase travel insurance through any entity that you choose.

If you want the CFAR (Cancel for Any Reason) benefit you will have to add it to the policy and you must purchase the insurance no later than 21 days from the day you make your initial payment.

When you click on the link you will need to answer a few questions about your trip and then you’ll be redirected to a page with the policy information and pricing.

The basic “Worldwide Trip Protector” plan, which does not include the CFAR or Optional Bed Rest options, can be purchased at any time, including after 21 days from the time you paid your initial payment but it will not cover the Pre-Existing Condition Exclusion Waiver or the Bankruptcy/Default of an airline, cruise line, tour operator or other travel providers. However, you can still cancel and potentially get up to a 100% refund as long as it’s a covered reason.

We strongly suggest that you call and verify what the policy covers if you have any questions. You can reach an insurance agent at 800-243-3174.

Ground Transportation

Ground transportation to the resort and back to the airport is not included with your room reservation; Yellow Umbrella Events does not coordinate ground transportation to the resort.

We recommend booking transportation with Lomas Transfers., however, you are welcome to make arrangements with any transportation company you choose.

Americans with Disabilities Act

Since the hotel is not located in the United States, they’re not required to be in compliance with the U.S. Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990. The Hotel has a limited number of accessible guest rooms that are available on a first-come, first-served basis. We can request an accessible room for you but it’s never guaranteed.

Public areas and restaurants at the Hotel are wheelchair accessible, just not wheelchair friendly. If you need to rent a wheelchair, scooter, or other medical supplies, you can do so through Playa Mobility. Click here to visit their website.

Yes. All you need to do is fill out the form on this page. As soon as we receive the information we’ll make the payment and email you the receipt.
Yes, they can pay using a different credit card. However, when you fill out the reservation form it will only allow you to add 1 credit card. If they want to use their own credit card, all you need to do is add a note in the “Additional Information” section at the bottom of the reservation form and tell us who will be using another credit card. You can then submit their credit card info to us by filling out the form on this page.
Yes, you can make additional payments at any time. Just send us an email telling us how much you want to pay and if we should use the credit card I have on file for you. If you want to use a different credit card you can send it to us by filling out the form on this page.
Yes. Just email us with how much you want to pay, what credit card to use, and on what dates you want me to make the payments.
When you fill out the reservation form it does not automatically make your reservation or charge your credit card. The information is sent to us so we can review it first. If we have any questions we will reach out to you for verification. As long as everything looks good we will make the reservation and email you a receipt showing the payment and another email with information about your reservation. FYI, If you fill out the form after business hours (5:00 pm CST) or over the weekend it may be the next day before you receive a confirmation.
Yes, you can always add a person to your room after your reservation has been made as long as it doesn’t go above the room occupancy limit. All you need to do is send your dedicated reservation specialist the following information. 1. Their name as it appears on their passport. 2. Their birthdate. 3. Their email address. 4. Arrival Date 5. Departure Date If you’re waiting to make a reservation because you’re not sure if someone will be with you in the room, we suggest you go ahead and secure your reservation now and then add them later.
Yes. Just send your dedicated reservation specialist an email with the name of the guest to be removed from the reservation along with the following information for the new guest taking their place.

1. Their name as it appears on their passport
2. Their birthdate
3. Their email address
4. Arrival Date
5. Departure Date

Once we have this information we’ll make the adjustment. If you are just switching guests the $100 cancellation fee is not charged to the person being removed from the reservation.
First, send us an email (we have to have it in writing) letting us know you need to cancel your reservation. If you purchased the travel insurance and have to cancel you will be refunded the amount according to the travel insurance guidelines once you submit your claim, but you are still responsible for the $100 per person cancellation fee. If you did not purchase the travel insurance, you may still be responsible for additional fees above and beyond the $100 per person cancellation fee which could possibly include the full amount of the room reservation.
No, not necessarily. This will depend on a few factors like the type of room category each person books since each room category could be in different areas of the resort and how full the resort is at the time of the event.
When you make your reservation you can send the request to us in the “Additional Information” section at the bottom of the reservation form and we will pass it along to the resort. They will do whatever they can to honor your request but it is not guaranteed.
No. Mexico has the same electrical outlets as we do in the U.S.
Mexico has banned smoking in all public places effective January 2023. Some of the places tourists can no longer smoke in include beaches, parks, hotels, and restaurants. If you are caught smoking in public, you may be fined. Some resorts have designated outdoor smoking areas for smokers.

Electronic or vaping devices and solutions are illegal in Mexico. People who are caught with these items may have them confiscated and may also be fined or detained. If you have any questions about smoking or vaping please reach out to the hotel.

Dreams Bahia Mita has three pools and a hot tub located on property. There are two main pools (including a separate kids-only section) and an infinity pool overlooking the ocean for all guests. Additionally, there is a hot tub for adults-only.

Secrets Bahia Mita has six pools including infinity pools, water decks, and a unique rooftop pool with stunning views, plus two outdoor hot tubs. All pools contain chlorine and are heated during November through March.
