Yellow Umbrella Events has planned weddings at this adults only resort on Isla Mujeres, Mexico since it opened in 2023, and here’s what’s changed: the deposit structure, the pricing itself, and a few package details worded differently than a year ago.

What Makes a Wedding at Impression Isla Mujeres Different?
Impression Isla Mujeres books one wedding per day. No competing events, no shared venues, no split attention from the coordinator on your date. Combine that with an adults only, 125 suite property and a private catamaran transfer from Cancun, and it’s a different experience than a large resort running four weddings on a Saturday.
Impression Isla Mujeres Wedding Packages for 2027
Impression Isla Mujeres offers two packages: an elopement package for two, and a full wedding package for larger groups. Both are customizable, and both now use different pricing and deposit terms than earlier versions of this guide reflected.
Intimate Impression, starting at $2,649 USD (weekday rate)
What’s included:
– Wedding coordinator, plus preparation and ironing of the couple’s wedding day attire
– Two services for the bride on the day of the ceremony: hairstyling and makeup application
– Symbolic ceremony, bouquet and boutonniere for the couple
– Wedding cake and sparkling wine toast for two
– Complimentary room upgrade based on availability, special turndown service, sparkling wine and fresh fruit in the room on arrival, one breakfast in bed with mimosas, and late checkout based on availability
– 15% discount on spa treatments, 20 digital photos of the ceremony, a 25 minute couples massage, and a complimentary hydrotherapy circuit treatment
– Free anniversary night stays: five paid nights over your first anniversary earns two free nights, four paid nights earns one free night
Lasting Impression, starting at $8,749 to $10,649 USD depending on season and day of week
This is the full wedding package, inclusive of 30 guests (28 guest services plus the couple). Pricing now depends on when you book:
– August through September 2027: starting at $8,749 USD
– October 2027 through July 2027, weekday (Monday through Wednesday): starting at $9,199 USD
– October 2027 through July 2027, weekend (Thursday through Sunday): starting at $10,649 USD
What’s included:
– Wedding coordinator, plus preparation and ironing of the couple’s wedding day attire
– Two services for the bride on the day of the ceremony: hairstyling and makeup application
– Symbolic ceremony with ceremonial table and seating, photographer and videographer, sound system with one speaker and one microphone
– Bouquet and boutonniere for the couple and wedding party, up to four members
– Two hour welcome reception, one hour cocktail hour with a premium bar and signature cocktails, and a three hour dinner reception with a chef curated four course meal (a buffet option is also available)
– Champagne toast for all guests, including Moët or Veuve Clicquot for the couple with crystal champagne flutes
– Complimentary room the night before the wedding for one member of the couple, personalized welcome amenity, guaranteed early check in and late checkout
– A mixologist to design signature cocktails, one complimentary spa treatment for each member of the couple, and a 20% spa discount for all wedding guests
– The same free anniversary night structure as Intimate Impression
What Changed With the Deposit?
This is the part most couples researching this resort need to know before they get further into planning. Deposits at Impression Isla Mujeres are no longer flat dollar amounts. Both packages now require a deposit of 30% of the total package value at the time of booking, and it is non-refundable.
At current pricing, that puts the Lasting Impression deposit somewhere between roughly $2,600 and $3,200 depending on your date, rather than a flat amount. Budget for this early so it doesn’t catch you off guard partway through the booking process.
New Bookings Only
Both packages are currently limited to new wedding bookings at Impression by Hyatt Secrets resorts. If you’ve already booked under older terms, confirm with your coordinator which package version applies to your contract.
Booking Timeline and Cancellation
Lasting Impression requires a minimum of six months advance booking, regardless of guest count. Intimate Impression has a shorter window, a minimum of 30 days prior to arrival. In practice, most of our couples are booking well ahead of either minimum simply because of how far in advance guests need to plan travel.
Once a wedding date is confirmed, Lasting Impression cannot be canceled within six months of the wedding date without forfeiting the deposit. Intimate Impression cancellations also forfeit the initial deposit.
Fees to Budget For
A few costs sit outside the base package price:
– A set up fee applies to all venues, calculated based on final guest count and layout
– Premium venue locations carry an additional charge on both packages
– Crystal champagne flutes for the Lasting Impression toast must be requested at least 90 days before the wedding date
– Any additional inclusions beyond the base package must be booked 90 days in advance and are priced at current introductory rates, which are subject to increase
Venues and Occupancy
– Ixchel Terrace, up to 50 guests
– Water Deck, up to 30 guests
– Sunrise Terrace, up to 10 guests
– Ballroom (indoors), up to 200 guests
– The Temple, up to 150 guests
Outside Vendors
If you’d rather bring your own photographer, florist, or other vendor instead of using the resort’s preferred list, the outside vendor fee is $1,500 USD per vendor per day. That fee is waived if the vendor books a room and stays on property for the duration of the events they’re working.
Guest Requirements and Resort Day Passes
Impression Isla Mujeres requires that 80% of your total guest count stay at the resort, with up to 20% allowed to stay off property. Guests not staying on site can purchase a Wedding Pass ($175 per person, valid for the wedding event only) or a Day Pass ($290 per person, which includes resort access from 9am to 5pm plus the wedding event).
Outdoor events must end by 10pm, though you can extend to 11pm for a $45 per person fee. No children under 18 are permitted on property, even for a wedding.
