First, I can not express how incredibly thankful I am for coming across this life-saving Facebook group that provided most of the guidance I needed!
Travel Planning: Cheryl & Shea from Yellow Umbrella Events are THE best option for destination wedding planning, especially if you’re looking to get married at Xcaret! Nobody knows Xcaret better than they do. They were so efficient and professional with all of our guests, including the impossible ones haha
Outside Wedding Planner: Joyce was an unbelievable force that I truly needed. Communication with the hotel is completely silent between the first deposit and likely the last 6-8 weeks before the wedding. She was truly able to work with me on ensuring everything went smoothly despite the lack of communication. One thing we all have to remember is the hotel wedding coordinators are not being paid to plan our weddings the same way we pay a regular wedding planner. They are also assigned tons of weddings and the hotel likely is having 4-5 weddings a week! We cannot have the same expectations and if you need constant communication, hiring an outside planner is probably your best bet.
We created a WhatsApp group chat for our guests which worked out so lovely and we actually still reminisce on the day!
The entire wedding weekend was amazing! Everything went incredibly smooth and if any hiccups occurred, I truly did not notice. They went above and beyond to accommodate any and every request we had.
Hotel Xcaret Mexico is very expensive. Financial planning is a must. There’s so many added costs associated so unless you plan on utilizing ONLY what is included in your wedding package, you will need to be financially prepared for the expenses.
