What is included in the wedding packages at Hard Rock Los Cabos?

How far in advance do we need to book our wedding?

We recommend booking your wedding 12 to 18 months in advance to secure the best availability and room rates. However, booking at least nine months ahead ensures guests have ample planning time. The minimum booking requirement is 31 days prior to your wedding date.

You can always choose the complimentary package and upgrade to one of their other wedding packages later.

Does Hard Rock Los Cabos include all the vendors we’ll need for our wedding day?

The resort has a curated list of preferred vendors, and many couples are happy with the convenience of using in-house options. That said, if you’re looking for more customized or high-end services, you may decide to supplement with a few trusted outside professionals.

What if we don’t want to use the in-house vendors that Hard Rock Los Cabos requires?

If you prefer not to use the in-house vendors at Hard Rock Los Cabos, there will be an Outside Vendor Fee of $1,500 USD per vendor, per service, and per day. Additionally, any outside vendor staff who need hotel access will require a Vendor Day Pass for each day, which covers one person for one day.

Is there any way the vendor fee could be waived?

The outside vendor fee can be waived if you choose to bring a third-party vendor and have them stay on the property for a minimum of three nights. All vendor staff must have an individual reservation under their name.

Please note that even if the vendor stays on property, a $1,500 Vendor Supervision Fee and a $500,000 Insurance Policy will still be required for any vendors providing audiovisual services, bringing their own DJ equipment, or installing heavy-duty materials (such as trussing structures, tents, or hanging fabrics).

Can we bring our own décor?

Outside décor is limited at Hard Rock Los Cabos. While couples cannot bring their own décor, certain personal items are allowed, including:

  • LED candles
  • Wedding programs
  • Favors (if not on the prohibited list)
  • Unity ceremony items
  • Personalized items
  • Stationery
  • Signage
  • Table numbers
  • Pictures
  • Cake toppers
  • Guest books

However, the following items are not permitted:

  • Confetti
  • Balloons
  • Fireworks
  • Centerpieces
  • Linens
  • Anything requiring a power source

If we prefer a specific venue, is it guaranteed to be available on our wedding day?

Yes, if you have your heart set on a particular wedding venue, you can choose to make an extra deposit toward your wedding package to secure it. If not, wedding venues will be based on your guest count and availability.

Option 1: Guaranteed Venues

Select venues can be guaranteed at the time of booking or during the planning process. A minimum guest count may be required to secure certain venues:

  • A deposit towards your wedding package of $50 per anticipated guest attending is required to guarantee a venue. This non-refundable amount will be added to the couple’s wedding invoice.
  • A separate deposit will be required to guarantee the venue for each event (i.e., the ceremony venue is separate from the reception venue).
  • If the projected guest count drops more than 20%, the guarantee is void, and the venue is subject to change.
  • Locations are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Venues are not guaranteed until the deposit is received.

Option 2: Non-guaranteed venues

  • Venues confirmed 30 days prior to the wedding date
  • No additional deposit is required
  • Locations are confirmed based on group size and availability

How to secure your preferred venue with the deposit:

  • Once you’ve made your initial $500 deposit to hold your wedding date, you’ll contact weddings@aichotelgroup.com to request the specific venue you’d prefer, and they will work with you to finalize the request and make the additional deposit.

Is there a discounted room rate for our guests?

Not usually. While the room rate may occasionally be slightly lower, the resort typically locks in the rate once your room block is set. This rate remains available to your guests until about five to six months before the wedding. However, booking a room block at Hard Rock Los Cabos comes with great perks, including the chance to earn free rooms, a room upgrade, and even complimentary reception hours.

What are the benefits of contracting a Hard Rock Los Cabos wedding room block?

  • Complimentary Rooms: The current promotion is one complimentary room for every 12 – 15 rooms (varies by season) paid in your room block, with up to three or four total rooms earned.
  • One Complimentary Room Upgrade when booking 25 rooms
  • Free private event hours that you can use for your dinner reception, as follows:
    • 10 – 19 Rooms = Two Hour Private Event
    • 20 – 29 Rooms = One Hour Cocktail Reception and a Three-Hour Dinner Reception
    • 30 – 49 Rooms = (Two) Three-Hour Private Events (to be used on two separate days)
    • 50 – 89 Rooms = (Two) Four-Hour Private Events (to be used on two separate days)
    • 90+ Rooms = (Two) Five-Hour Private Events (to be used on two separate days)

Only rooms and room nights booked and paid through your unique booking link and staying for a minimum of three nights will qualify for earned complimentary rooms, room upgrades, and/or complimentary event hours.

Are we required to contract a Wedding Room Block?

No, but if you do not book a wedding room block, you will not receive any of the wedding benefits, which could be a loss of several thousand dollars in savings and perks.

How do we and our guests book rooms for our wedding?

Once your room block is finalized, our team will create a custom link for you and your guests. Here’s a sample link: https://www.yellowumbrellaevents.com/events/katherine-and-zach/

What room types are available at Hard Rock Los Cabos?

From stylish deluxe rooms to extravagant suites with rooftop terraces and swim-up pools, Hard Rock Los Cabos offers a variety of accommodations designed for the ultimate luxury experience. Each room at Hard Rock Los Cabos is designed for a rockstar-worthy stay, featuring premium amenities, plush bedding, and stylish décor for an unforgettable getaway.

Click here for all the room category types and descriptions.

Do all our guests have to stay at the hotel to be able to come to our wedding?

Hard Rock Los Cabos requires that at least 80% of your guests book at the resort for at least three nights

What are the Wedding Day Pass prices for guests not staying at the resort?

The resort charges a $192 fee per person ages 13+ and $116 per child ages four to 12 who do not stay at the resort. Guests can access the resort during the ceremony until the wedding activities have ended.

All on-site guests must book through the same source (your personal room block link) to count toward your wedding group benefits. Guests who book outside your booking source will incur a $25 per person per event fee, which will be charged to your wedding invoice.

Is there a discounted room rate if we want to visit Hard Rock Los Cabos to decide if this is where we want to host our wedding?

Hard Rock Los Cabos does not offer discounted room rates for pre-wedding resort stays. However, if you book a site inspection at least 91 days before your wedding date, you may be eligible for a credit toward your wedding extras. If your room block reaches 25+ rooms or 75+ room nights, you can receive a $200 per night credit for one room, for up to six nights, applied to your wedding proposal.

What time do outside receptions and events need to end?

All outdoor event sound/music must end by 10:30 PM, though some locations may have an earlier curfew of 9:00 PM. Indoor ballroom events do not have a required end time.

If your wedding date is between May 1st and December 9th, your wedding falls during Turtle Nesting Season, and by law, all events on the beach must end by 7:00 PM. For this reason, we recommend that weddings during this time choose a location other than the beach for their cocktail hour and reception versus a beach wedding in Los Cabos.

Is there a place on-site for an after-party?

Yes! If you want to keep the celebration going after your reception wraps up, Hard Rock Los Cabos has several great on-site options for an after-party. The most popular choice is Moonlight Bar, an indoor lounge with a dance floor, full bar, and late-night vibe – perfect for transitioning from your formal reception to a more relaxed (and rowdy!) party atmosphere.

You can also host your after-party in one of the resort’s ballrooms, like the Harmony Ballroom, where there are no noise restrictions, allowing your DJ or band to play late into the night. This is a great option if you want a private after-party for your group. (extra fee)

Is there a bridal suite available?

The Rock SPA offers hair and makeup services both in-room and in the salon. However, there is no dedicated bridal suite. Due to this, most of our couples select a Rock Suite or higher category due to its size (1,762 square feet) and convenient layout.

Does Hard Rock Los Cabos offer same-sex weddings?

Of course!

Is there a Catholic chapel on-site?

Yes, Hard Rock Hotel Los Cabos has an on-site Catholic chapel, making it an ideal venue for couples wishing to have a traditional Catholic wedding ceremony during their destination wedding.

Are children allowed at the resort for the wedding ceremony and reception?

Yes, Hard Rock Los Cabos is a family-friendly resort, and children are allowed at the wedding ceremony and reception.

How many event sites can we choose for our wedding?

Most couples will choose two to three locations – one for your ceremony and one for your combined cocktail and reception event, or one each for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception.

How far in advance do we need to arrive at the resort before the wedding day?

You must arrive at the resort no later than two business days before the ceremony (Monday through Friday). Arrival must be by noon for the day of arrival to count as a business day before.

What are the requirements for a civil/legal ceremony versus a symbolic ceremony?

For a Civil/Legal Ceremony, the couple must arrive at the resort at least three business days (Monday – Friday) before the wedding day.

To count as a full business day, arrival must be before noon.

Can we bring our dog/pet?

Yes! Hard Rock Los Cabos is a pet-friendly resort through its Unleashed program, welcoming both dogs and cats. Guests can bring up to two pets per room, each weighing up to 50 lbs, for a $150 USD fee per pet, per stay (charged weekly for stays over seven nights). Pets can enjoy designated unleashed areas and amenities, but they must remain on a leash and are not allowed in restaurants, bars, pools, the beach, or other restricted areas. Guests are responsible for their pets’ behavior, cleaning up after them, and ensuring proper vaccinations.

For a complete list of pet-friendly policies, check with the resort before booking!

How many restaurants does the resort have?

Hard Rock Los Cabos offers a variety of dining options with eight distinct restaurants:

Ciao: Enjoy Italian-inspired dishes with a fresh twist, featuring handmade pastas, wood-fired pizzas, and rich flavors in an intimate setting.

Toro: Savor the flavors of Latin-inspired steakhouse cuisine, offering premium cuts of meat and seafood, curated by celebrity chef Richard Sandoval.

Zen: Indulge in an Asian fusion experience with a focus on teppanyaki, sushi, and innovative dishes in a sleek, contemporary environment.

Los Gallos: A vibrant Mexican restaurant showcasing bold, authentic flavors, including tacos, ceviches, and other classic Mexican dishes.

The Market: A buffet-style restaurant offering a wide variety of international dishes and fresh ingredients for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Pizzeto: Enjoy a variety of artisanal brick oven-style pizzas, all made using traditional Italian recipes.

Umo: Celebrate Yucatecan culture with locally sourced, seasonal ingredients, where smoke and fire are integral to the food preparation. Enjoy handmade artisanal tortillas and guacamole while experiencing the traditions of Mexican gastronomy.

Cafetto: Grab a continental breakfast to start your day or enjoy snacks, coffee, and tea throughout the day in a relaxed, casual setting.

Click here for more details on the restaurants and their menus.

Will we have a dedicated wedding specialist?

Yes, Hard Rock Los Cabos provides on-site wedding specialists who will assist you throughout your stay. They will help with the final details and coordination and ensure everything runs smoothly on your wedding day.

What are the policies regarding outside vendors?

Before hiring and depositing with an outside vendor, you will need to provide the company name of the vendor being considered prior to contracting them, since the resort has some outside vendors that are not authorized to be on the property. A third-party vendor fee of $1,500.00 USD will apply per outside vendor per day who is hired by the couple and not contracted by the hotel as a preferred vendor. The fee will apply per service per day if a vendor provides multiple services. Each vendor staff member needing access to set up is required to purchase a vendor pass. Vendor Passes only allow each person to arrive an hour before the event, so they will need to purchase an ALL DAY PASS if they require additional time. A $1,500 Vendor Supervision Fee and $500,000 Insurance Policy will be required for any third-party vendor needing to carry out audiovisual work, bringing their own DJ equipment, requiring electricity, using a ladder, or installing heavy-duty materials (trussing structures, tents, draping, etc)..

Additionally, all outside local vendors are required to have a valid REPSE registration form that must be presented prior to arrival to have access to the property and allow them to work inside the facilities, in addition to the fee that must be covered to allow external suppliers to work in the hotel. If you have any additional questions about any of this, it’s best to review it with your assigned Hard Rock Los Cabos wedding coordinator.

Are there any hidden fees we should be aware of?

Event lighting isn’t an additional hidden fee, but it can come as a surprise to couples. While basic lighting is included in the outdoor event spaces, it may not be enough to fully illuminate the area if your reception is outdoors after sunset. To ensure your event is well-lit and creates the perfect atmosphere, consider adding additional lighting, such as string lights or overhead options.

Again, it is not a hidden fee because it’s clearly listed in the wedding contract, but couples who book several outside vendors are often shocked by how fast the outside vendor fees can add up. For example, if you hire an outside photographer and videographer, even if they are with the same company, the resort charges two outside vendor fees, since this fee is charge PER vendor PER service + it only covers one person from each vendor and each additional team member must purchase a day pass of $192 per person. So, if your photo and video team consists of six total team members, the total outside vendor cost would be $3,768.
