Hotel Xcaret Mexico Wedding FAQs: Room Blocks, Vendors, and Day-Of Details

Beyond packages and venues, there are a lot of logistical questions that come up when planning a Hotel Xcaret Mexico wedding. Here are the ones we hear most often.

Add Your Heading Text HerexaDo I Have to Book a Room Block?

Yes. Hotel Xcaret Mexico requires a room block contract to host a wedding on property. The room block must be signed and a deposit paid before your wedding contract can be finalized. At least 80% of all wedding guests must stay at the resort for a minimum of 3 nights. Guests not staying on-site may attend but must pay a $90 per-person day pass fee and can only enter the property about one hour before the ceremony.

Should I Book My Room Block Directly or Through a Travel Agent?

You have both options, but the difference in upfront deposit is significant. Here is how the two compare on a block of 20 rooms:

Can I Bring My Own Vendors?

Yes, with a fee. Outside vendors cost between $870 and $1,500 per vendor. However, if your vendor stays in your room block for 3 or more nights, the fee is waived entirely. This is a great option for couples who want to bring their own photographer or hair and makeup team from home.

You may also bring your own independent wedding planner without an outside vendor fee, though day pass fees apply for any staff not staying on property.

Is There a Bridal Suite?

There is a small bridal get ready suite available for rent at $1,500 for a 4-hour window, or $2,000 for the suite plus the salon area. It fits about 2 to 3 people comfortably for hair and makeup rotations.

Many couples choose to upgrade to a Junior Suite instead. At 1,356 square feet with a full living area, kitchen, double patio, and separate guest bathroom, it gives the whole wedding party space to get ready together for the entire stay. The additional nightly cost often works out to about the same as renting the bridal suite for just 4 hours.

Is There an After-Party Option?

Yes. All outdoor events must wrap by 11 pm, but most wedding groups head to Cantina Los Faroles after the reception ends. It operates as a restaurant during the day and transitions to a nightclub from 11 pm to 4 am with live music or a DJ and an open bar. There is also an adult-only sports bar upstairs.  Another option would be the new nightclub, Xupes.  This is open from 9pm – 4am, and is a true adults only nightclub experience.

Does Hotel Xcaret Mexico Offer Same-Sex Weddings?

Yes, Hotel Xcaret Mexico is very inclusive.

How Far in Advance Should We Arrive?

For symbolic ceremonies, plan to arrive at least 2 days before your wedding to handle final details and complete your walk-through with your on-site coordinator. Legal ceremonies require 3 to 4 business days on-site before the wedding. Weekends do not count toward this requirement.
