Hard Rock Hotel Los Cabos – Cabo San Lucas

While it’s a family-friendly resort in Mexico, it does have an adult area and adult pools, making it perfect for couples looking to add a bit of rock ‘n’ roll to their wedding – with an adult focused vibe, even with a few kiddos.
PERFECT FOR: Couples seeking the Rock Star scene. This resort is always ready to party, and with its easy to get to location, the fun doesn’t have to stop at the resort—you can keep the celebration going late into the night with nightclub-hopping in downtown Cabo.
DAY TRIP TO: Downtown Cabo to enjoy fun shopping and dining. Or barely leave the resort for a group golf outing at the first ever golf course designed by Tiger Woods, the absolutely gorgeous Diamante course, which is next door to the resort property.

Dreams Bahia Mita Surf & Spa Resort – Punta Mita (Puerto Vallarta area)
THE VIBE: Modern, fun, and a little bit unexpected, but in the best ways. This resort is nestled between the jungle and the Pacific, offering views that stretch on forever and architecture that feels significantly more stylish and up-to-date than the typical Puerto Vallarta resort. It’s family-friendly but doesn’t necessarily feel like it’s all about the littles. If you’ve got a lot of adult guests (or you want the essence of an adult only wedding but still have some guests that are going to bring their kids), the adult only Secrets Bahia Mita is right next door and shares the same property.
PERFECT FOR: Families who like a side of adventure. This area is perfect for groups who want more than just beach time. Think things like surfing, jungle ziplining, whale watching (in season), and boat trips to the Marietas Islands.
DAY TRIP TO: Sayulita! If you haven’t been, it’s the cutest little boho surf town full of vibrant colors, boutique shops, and great tacos. It’s only about 30 minutes away and 100% worth the visit. Do it as a group if you can, and have the time in your itinerary.
SKIP IF: You’re dreaming of soft white sand beaches. This area has more of a natural, rocky coastline. Puerto Vallarta is gorgeous but definitely different than what you’ll find in the Cancun area.
ROOM PRICE POINT: Moderate. This resort can be quite budget-friendly, especially when compared to Cancun/Playa del Carmen pricing, and offers a lot of value. Swim-out suites, ocean views, and that jungle-meets-Pacific vibe make it feel more elevated for those who prefer a higher-end room and amenities.
One more thing to note on pricing – Dreams Bahia Mita often requires groups to stay for a four-night minimum during peak seasons, so while the price point is relatively low for what you get, be mindful that they make up the difference in required nights of stay.
