Start With a Date, But Stay Flexible
Hotel Xcaret Mexico books well over a year in advance, especially for weekend dates. If you have a specific date in mind, start the process as early as possible. We often advise couples to stay open to a general month or season since availability is limited. The more flexible you can be, the better your chances of landing a date that works.
The 10-Day Window You Need to Know About
Once a wedding date is confirmed as available, you have just 10 days to begin securing your room block. Venues are only held during this window. This is the step most couples are caught off guard by, so it helps to go in prepared. Working with a planner who knows this process well makes a big difference in moving quickly and confidently.

Signing Your Contracts
Your room block contract must be signed and the deposit paid before your wedding contract can be finalized. Once both are in place, your date is secured. The wedding package deposit is 30% of the total package cost and the final payment is due 60 days before the wedding.
One Important Note on Guest Count
You cannot decrease your guest count once the wedding contract is signed. If you contract for 50 guests and only 40 attend, you will not receive a refund for the 10 who did not come. Be conservative with your estimate. You can always add guests but you cannot subtract them.
